The ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM) connects your CMDB to services from both a business and technical perspective. It is the foundation for working towards a service-aware CMDB. The benefits of CSDM are many—from more accurate reporting, increased platform maturity, a single service language, staying OOTB to improved control over service costs. But, you will only unlock these benefits if you implement CSDM the right way. That’s what this workshop is all about.
Get yourself and your team familiarized with this new model by playing our (online) game. We will start with explaining the concept and theory in an interactive way, including examples. Next, we go through the different phases of the CSDM data model and explain what phase suits what situation. After that, we get practical and start modelling a service in small groups using Miro.
