The challenge

ING WorkPlace Services (WPS) is responsible for providing workplaces to their global workforce. A large part of service delivery is outsourced to external Managed Service Providers that use their own ITSM systems to ensure tickets and requests are efficiently completed. ING end-users (employees) from various locations contact their local support desks for questions which are registered in their own ITSM tools as well. In many occasions, clients of WPS and suppliers use ServiceNow, which created the need to quickly integrate the WPS instance to more than 10 other ServiceNow instances.

The solution

Together with ING we co-developed Connector4U that is an integration product that combines all the experience and best practices of Plat4mation in a simple to use application. Using Connector4U, ING WPS is able to build integrations with other ITSM applications in days rather than weeks/months, and ensure maintenance costs are kept to an absolute minimum. Connector4U is currently processing more than 8000 tickets per month, is used to synchronize service catalogs between customers and vendors and can be maintained in just several hours per week.
