ESM: Facility Management

The challenge
The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) selected ServiceNow to support their IT Service Management operations. Convinced of the power of the platform they investigated the possibilities of using ServiceNow to support their Facility Management organization as well. They had an explicit need for a room and workplace reservation solution.
The solution
After a formal RFP (Request for Proposal), Plat4mation was selected as the primary ServiceNow service provider, tasked with improving the IT Service Management implementation and to implement a full Facility Management Information System. To support the requirement of room and workplace reservation we implemented the predecessor of Workplace Service Delivery, including the ability to reserve desks, and equipped the meeting rooms with our own BookNow reservation device. This resulted in better utilization of their workplaces and higher end users satisfaction since catering, visitors and rooms can be reserved in one simple overview.
