IT Engineer

What will you do?

As a Workplace IT Engineer you are part of the IT team that manages the entire IT ecosystem for our 6 offices, globally. In this role you are expected to drive automation, optimization and setup of the complete Microsoft 365 environment for your colleagues around the world. At Plat4mation our IT strategy is centered around a cloud first approach, so most of our applications and services are cloud based. Your work will be focused on workspace solutions, providing direct support for your colleagues as well as design and implementation new solutions within our IT landscape.

Scope of your work:

• Resolve internal customer-reported (colleagues) issues while working closely with other multi-functional teams.
• Provide feedback for improving product quality and reliability.
• Document relevant information and ensure that the customer (colleague) is communicated with in a timely manner on a level that they understand.
• Drive operational excellence through quality closures and proper escalation of issues.
• Design, plan and execute changes in the IT environment.
• Help maintain administration required for operating an ISO27001 compliant IT environment.
• Automate IT activities as much as possible when it adds value.

 

We ask

• Bachelors or master’s degree in any field of IT.
• At least 3-6 years of experience working with and in complex Microsoft environments.
• Proficient in at least two methods of task automation, ideally through scripting (ex: PowerShell)
• Hands-on expertise in implementing and managing Microsoft 365 environments, including the applications and collaboration platforms such as MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Azure AD and Azure Services for workplace solutions such as Intune MDM and Defender suite.
• Have deep understanding of networking technologies such as network protocols, LANs, WANs, wireless networks such as Ubiquiti and Firewalls such as FortiGate and Palo Alto.
• ServiceNow Knowledge and/or Microsoft SharePoint online development skills is an advantage.
• Familiarity with security and compliance standards.
• You excel in competencies such as quality focus, problem solving, creativity, planning and organizing, flexibility and communication skills.
• You show initiative and independence in performing work tasks, and only ask for guidance and direction when needed.
• Identifies and manages tasks, dependencies, opportunities, and improvements in own work area and contributes to the organization’s vision and goals.
• You have a proactive approach to learning and developing new skills and knowledge, and seek out relevant information and resources to achieve tasks and objectives.
• You are self-motivated and able to achieve goals independently or in teams.
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts, such as incident management, problem management, change management, and basic project management methodologies.
