Plat4mation awarded EcoVadis bronze medal in recognition of sustainability efforts

UTRECHT, January 10, 2022 – We are proud to announce that we have been awarded a Bronze EcoVadis certification, the world’s most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.

As we are committed to helping organizations achieve their ambitions, we are evenly committed to making a positive impact on society and the environment. Therefore, we work closely with organizations like Ecovadis and the Climate Neutral Group to integrate the principles of CSR in our operations and making the world a better place.

This year, we’ve been recognized with an EcoVadis Bronze Medal for our continuous efforts stemming from our long-term vision to achieve sustainable growth for the environment, society and business. With an overall score of 50 out of a 100, we are among the top 50% of all companies already assessed by EcoVadis. This is something we are proud of and will continue to be of importance to us in the years to come.

Our journey in reducing our carbon footprint started back in 2018, after which many more steps followed:

• It all started with signing up at the Dutch MVO-Register, a foundation that helps SMBs get on the right track with CSR.
• Not long after, we performed the first ever Carbon Footprint Analysis for our Dutch office.
• In 2019, EcoVadis conducted an CSR assessment, in which was evaluated how well our company had integrated the principles of CSR into our operations. This assessment was our first step towards an ongoing monitoring process.
• In 2020, we took our efforts to the next level. Assisted by Climate Neutral Group, we started compensating our carbon footprint and were declared carbon neutral! For that, we inputted data about our business travels (by car, public transport and air), office heating/energy use and use of printing paper into an analysis tool, which then calculated our footprint. Then, we offset our CO2 emissions by reinvesting in clean energy projects. As a result, we were able to reduce our carbon footprint with 73% in 2020 compared to 2019. Our long-term goal is to reduce our carbon emissions to zero, so we don’t have to compensate anymore.

Reducing our carbon footprint is not the only area we support and focus on. Our efforts are also centered around Sports, Environment and Culture & Society. We are looking forward to the next steps in our journey to making the world a better place.
